I just picked up a hardtail and it came with a standard seat stem - no bueno. I didn't feel like trying to fish a cable down through the frame and up to the handlebars so I ordered this external cable dropper post. It took around 5 minutes to get the old stem off and install this one. I mounted my saddle and tightened the seat post. A quick ride around the driveway to figure out where I wanted the stem height to be and that was it. I used zip-ties to fasten the cable to the frame top tube and then mounted the trigger to the left side of my handlebars. Very quick installation and the dropper works very well. A good purchase and we'll see how well it holds up to a trail beating.

Nothing special about it. The lever is a little cheaper but everything works great.
