I’m 51 years old and I’m a landscaper so I’m in fair shape. I rode my E bike yesterday on some difficult trails and around the North Carolina Whitewater Center at Charlotte North Carolina. After riding for two or three hours, my back was hurting and my elbows were hurting. I ordered this product and it came next day and I installed it. I cannot wait to ride it with this adjustment. now my back and spine are straight while sitting on the bike and there is plenty of room for me to go up another 2 inches. This raised my handlebars 2 inches and it seem to be enough for me right now but there is adjustment to go even higher if I want to.

I wanted an inexpensive extension to help out my back, neck and shoulders so I didn't have be hunched over the bike handlebars. There were not any instructions included but it should have been pretty easy to install, just take off the old and put on the new. I did have two issues, when I first installed the extention. There was some slop between the steering wheel/fork and the bike frame so I loosened the bolts and held the frame so the weight was off the front wheel and re-tightened bolts. Glad I did this, it took out the slop and the steering was firm. I also took off one of the ring spacers because the top bolt from the handle bars would have been above the extension and the included bolt may not have been long enough but by taking out one of the spacer rings. All fit together. There were several other extensions that were longer and higher priced but this was just going on a bike I got from the pawn shop so I wanted to be cheap. The length was also good enough so I didn't have to replace any of the cables.

Pros: Good product for the price.Cons: No instructions or Manuel or Safety precautions.Caution: Remember the location of the spacers of your bike's stem for handlebar before you undo to mount this extension.A spring washer should be added for the top cover bolt.

I am truly enjoying this handlebar riser. It has made a difference in my comfort level In riding on my road bike. The handlebar riser that I had with the bike just did not do what this handlebar riser does for me. Sometimes, it does not solve all the comfort that I wish I could have in bike riding for long stretches.Perhaps I still need to make some more adjustments to get to that comfort level that I’m looking for. I am impressed with his handlebar riser and would recommend it.

Might be just a little too tall, but works great and easy to install.

Other reviews indicated that the screws did not fully enter the opposing side of the extension. I did not experience that problem. The manufacturer may have changed the size of the screws because mine fit perfectly. This product was easy to install and solved the problem of the rider having too much pressure on the wrists. You ride in a more upright position which eases pressure on the wrists and back. There has been no slipping of the unit after installation. A great product.

This product has a series of design flaws that make it very unsafe. It is unsafe because it does not allow it to be tightened enough to keep the fork from rotating. Any more than about 15 pounds of pressure and your bars and your front wheel are no longer aligned, and about 40 pounds and you can turn the bars without the wheel moving. The worst flaw, being the shape of where the bolt threads into the threaded end is circular angle tangent to fork. Although looks better, it means that one side has 4-5 threads to hold the bolt while the other is 2. If this was better material than a cheaper alloy 2 would be sufficient when tightened however it strips easily. Also, being that it is shaped that way it causes the inability to use a stop nut behind the integrated threads. Use of an angled washer and stop nut caused the bolt to bend as angled washers are flat and not an arc.If you want a broken clavicle and wrist, this is the product for you!
