It is foam tubing that slides over your cables to prevent frame rattle and chafing. It does what it is advertised to do but it is a bit loose. This can be seen as a pro or con depending on application. The larger inside diameter allows it to effortlessly slide over cables and through the frame. This is a plus if you need to go over a little bulkier cable end cap etc. but it adds to the outside diameter so depending on your frame it can potentially make things tight to feed through. Price is reasonable and it is easy to install for most applications.

This housing has an internal, and external diameter that makes it a near universal internal option for most internally routed bikes. (you may need to initially push the housing in through the bottom bracket, depending on the way your bike is designed)This is a very good option to quiet down internally routed cables, housing, and wiring. My only complaint with this housing is I really think 2 lengths of housing should have been included for this price point.Overall:4 stars

Install this from cable tubing in my new mountain bike. It was a little difficult to fish it into the bike frame but with a little work it went in no problem. Takes away a lot of the noise while riding over rough terrain. Great cheap upgrade for your mountain bike that has internal cable routing. Good price as well.

This has a 6mm I.D. which makes it too large for a lot of applications. The most popular brand is 5mm I.D. which is perfect for brake and shift cables. The larger size of this sleeve makes it harder to install and it is loose on the cables. Price is hard to beat and this would be easier to slice open if you want to put it over cables that are already installed but don't want to disconnect those cables or brake hoses with all that entails.

When we removed the cable housing for the shifter and dropper cables during the move to wireless, wireless shifting and dropper, we didn't realized hos noisy the frame would get. The hydraulic brake hose lines rattle inside the frame of the bike constantly when riding down bumpy trials. It's to the point where my son calls it his "built in cow bell". This housing damper really reduces the noise from a clanking to a thudiing. Installing it required that the brake hosing be cut and reinstalled but that's small consideration for the reduction of noise in the frame of the bike. The tubing was also a little thick, as you would expect if it's supposed to dampen the noise so it was a little work getting the tubing into the frame through the cable routing ports in the frame but we managed.Recommended.

While maybe my expectations were a little too high, this was basically just some cheap foam I could have gotten for Lowe's. The cables don't even fit snuggly there and this moves about.

I found this internal housing damper tube by luck as I was looking at different bike parts and I am glad I found it. The internal cable connected to my seatpost always rattled inside the top tube. I tried different things, but couldn't stop it from making noise. It just happened that I also was in need of a new seatpost since the one that came with the bike was not working as well, so with this tube I was also able to get rid of the noise after installing the new seat post. Great idea overall.
