OK so let me be clear that right out of the gate I'll give this 5/5 stars. There are pros and cons to it though. Given the price I thought there would only be cons in comparison to other similar-ish mounts but I was really surprised by the pros.First off, it's really difficult to install. I mean... not "DIFFICULT" but like much harder than other very simple mounts. HOWEVER there is a reason... before I get to the reason let me be clear that the reason why it's difficult is because you have the plastic 'hole' that you put your bike bar in has these two interchangeable rubberish strips to allow you to modulate the size. And at first I was like "Wow, this is really dumb, because I have this other mount that doesn't use this kind of system and works great..." but after I trimmed off a bit of the small strip and installed this I realized something: This is MUCH stronger. MUCH MUCH MUCH stronger than 'stronger looking' mounts that I've used. it's REALLY tight. INSANELY tight in comparison to this other mount I have that has a really large clicking-knob you turn to tighten it onto the pole.This is a SIGNIFICANT pro. The only con I have to report (other than the minor installation issue, but that's in support of a massive PRO) is that it doesn't really allow a lot of pivoting. OK you can totally rotate it up and down 360 degrees. HOWEVER 'left/right' is damn limited. VERY limited. I ain't taking no protractor to this but it seems like it's 5-10 degrees that it'll tilt. And unfortunately for my setup I need it to tilt slightly more so in order to use this I just need to move my head a bit in order to see it straight on.Anyway, I'm VERY impressed with this for it's cost. It looks simpler (cheaper), feels worse, but performs better than more expensive mounts. It just has a slightly more limited left/right tilt. I'm fine with tha.t This was great. These are easy to install and work great. The trickiest part of the installation for me was I had to use both silicon split ring pads as the handle bars were a smaller diameter i guess. The manufacturer provides two of them one less thick than the other. The thickest didn't quite work so I just used both, one on top of the other. These silicon pads also help prevent vibration of the phone screen. These phone holders are easy to adjust and seem well built. I really like the locking feature which secures the phone in place. Especially handy for mountain bike riding where there are bumps and jolts that could potentially dislodge the phone from the holder! Or if you were to have an accident on the bike, it will hold the phone in place. The phone can be rotated multiple angles as well as tilting. Works great with my iPhone 12 Pro. My only suggestion would be the lock screws don't need to be so long but that isn't a big deal at all.

I ordered this to replace a mount that holds the phone only from the sides. After a few rides, I'm realizing that this style presents problems, at least for the latest Android version - there are controls and gestures that require me to reach the corners of the phone, and those are blocked by this mount. I can reach them with some difficulty, but it'll be impossible if I'm wearing gloves with fingers.The mount was easy enough to install, and holds the phone securely. I have it attached to a rather narrow handlebar extension, and it doesn't "droop" even on bumpy rides.I've had bad experiences with plastic accessory mounts in the past, and I'm not sure how long this one will last. I've put a velcro strap around it and the handlebars, so that if it breaks while I'm riding, the phone will at least stay attached to the bike.This is a fair value for the price, and if you're riding only on smooth surfaces, I expect it will hold together well. I'll be looking for another metal side-clamping mount myself, though.
