I use this for my hot-tub because it's much cheaper to buy in bulk, than it is to buy the smaller packets they sell for hot tubs.The packaging only tells you how many pounds to put in. The conversion rate is 1cup == 1lb of this stuff. (The safety data sheet you might find online for balance-pak-300 is wrong!)Technically, I weighed this chemical on my kitchen scale and it's 3.94kg/2000ml, or 1.03lb/cup (using US standard 236.6ml cup), or 1.08lb/cup (using metric 250ml cup). So, 1lb=1cup is a good enough approximation.
