We have budgies, we adopted a few and one batch were extremely messy with the food. I purchased our first one and couldn't believe the difference!! I love the easy empty and fill system. We bought a second one for our second cage!! I also noticed less wasted seeds with this system.

This feeder is definitely doing its job… recommend if you have a messy bird. Feeder did arrived slightly cracked in one too corner but doesn’t affect the way it works.

There's only one thing to say about this. It was an absolute game changer for me. I was going crazy with all the food all over the place due to my two budgies. No longer any mess, but when you remove the tray when it's full some will fall out but that's nothing compared to the mess beforehand lol

The auto feeder does hold a lot of bird food but the claim that is it no mess is not true. When you have to empty the drawer at the bottom, a lot of seed falls out if the drawer is too full and also falls through the little grate inside if any seed is sitting on that. I also found that a LOT of seed gets wasted because it is not just seeds husks from what the birds have eaten that falls into the drawer. A LOT of uneaten seed falls is as well as the birds push it around while they eat. I thought my birds were eating the seeds up really fast and then realized they were not when I saw so much wasted in the drawer.

It makes a mess just like any other feeder, doesn’t fit snug in door so there’s a gap and bird can get out.

This feeder was quickly accepted by my parakeets and almost gets rid of the mess. The chaff catcher sometimes moves and that is when there is a bit of a mess. I roll my parakeets around so I’m learning to check to see if it jarred loose. It holds enough seed for over a week for my two parakeets. I am super happy with this purchase.

The product itself is okay. It was poorly package and only came in a simple bag and then an a Amazon envelope. you can see the top of it cracked but I could not be bothered returning it as I needed it right away. Someone was babysitting my bird and wanted to minimize the responsibility of changing out the food. The top is not secured which is not an issue for me but thought I would share that in case you have a certain situation where the top needs to be a little bit more secured.Update: I had 4 stars at 1st but changed it to 5 because it really catches the food and has minimized the food from getting all over the place a great deal. That packaging just sucked but that had nothing to do with the functionality of the actual product.
