My birds like hanging out all over the room, so I like to give them playgrounds congregate around. A lot of competitor brands have the perches mounted directly to the base which can mean it's a hassle to clean, but this tierecare perch/stand has an open frame with a stainless steel tray that you slide in for easy cleaning.Better yet, the tray size is perfect for a half sheet paper towel, which makes clean up even easier.

.Well constructed of plain wood, good for chewing (which they will) for beak health and to feel better. Nice quality for the value. We have several of these and are essential to us and my buddy, Bebop.I discovered that Bebop has definite places he likes to perch from room to room. I place these perches at those locations, such as the top of the kitchen refrigerator and a bedroom dresser.. Now he flies from perch to perch. He has a known target to hit.When Bebop needs to "drop ballast" to fly or after landing, the perch tray catches it. Thus, control over his ballast dropping in random places. FANTASTIC !!!Parrots especially, have a need to perch high to be able to observe everything. This is a survival instinct. This stand makes Bebop VERY happy. Bebop LIKES IT. It passed the Bebop test of scrutiny..
