This gauge shows the exact width and depth of sizes 0, 10 and 20 biscuits slots, allowing you to determine which biscuit size will fit before cutting (and potentially blowing out an edge). Once correctly positioned, the pencil slots allow you to perfectly center your marks. Gauge shows actual cut, which accomodate the swelling of the biscuit once glue is applied. Hole allows it to be hung on the wall.

This is a gauge that is not really needed for 90% of my biscuit jointer work, I use this gauge when making picture frames. You can use a biscuit to gauge the size and push the blade out to get an idea as to how big the cut is going to be or you can just use this gauge. I find the gauge is quick and does not requite me to wrestle against the jointer return spring to do a quick check of the cut width. Well worth the money in saved time and frustration IMHO.

Cuando lo pedí en la reseña decía que era un cortador de galletas pero es solo una pieza plástica sin utilidad alguna

It helps students I teach woodworking to see the depth of cut with the correct cutter settings.

Despite the 1 star review from someone who has no idea about woodworking I found this item to be very useful. It's one of those things that you don't use very often but when you do you are thankful that you have it. I originally bought it just to align the blades on my biscuit cutters but I ended up using it more than I though - if you do precise woodworking this can come in handy.I first used it to make sure my blade depths were accurate and it's also convenient in determining the optimal size of a biscuit joint needed. Mark one side of the board, place them both together and then mark the opposite board. I do a lot of custom framing for stained glass so I'm working with boards that are grooved to hold glass panes. This "gadget" assures optimal placement that won't interfere with the edges of the glass.Ignore the one star troll comment from someone who didn't even buy one - this item was worth the price for me.
