Sadly, this is not very sticky at all.The roll is tightly wound and the scalloped edge has been well protected. There was some tarnish on the very outside layer (which can be a good thing as it indicates that it is good copper that will take solder well) and it wasn't very odiferous. I am thinking that the lack of a strong smell from some foil that comes from Amazon (as this is my 5th order of copper foil from Amazon that is made in China...all have had a very strong chemical scent upon opening the package except this one) is due in part to the lack of adhesive.I peeled back the end and touched the tape it barely stuck to my finger. I thought maybe I had something on my hand from chores I just completed. I washed my hands, cut a foot of foil and rubbed it hard onto the plastic from which I just removed the roll and it pulled right off. It took no effort whatsoever to remove the foil after burnishing it to the package. It did slightly better when I burnished it onto the window glass, but it removes more easily than any I have ever tested before.This lacks sticky adhesive, unfortunately.

I was worried about the other reviews in which it said it lost its stickiness. Upon opening, I tore off the first few inches and it sticks great.I love the design of the scallops.

As a silversmith, I like to play with different metals with different shapes to wrap cabachons with an interesting edge. In this case, the sticky back helps hold the bezel in place while I place solder to ensure it stays permanently. Yes, this will oxidize over time, but some like that look.
