This took approximately an hour and a half to assemble using the included instructions. It looks great against our gray, black and white backsplash. It’s approximately 11” x 18” and 13” high, so it really doesn’t take up a lot of counter space (and our kitchen is fairly small). It holds all of what we two use such as hot dog buns, hamburger buns, a large loaf of bread and two small tins of tea with room for more bread or buns. It sits nicely beside our toaster. It’s attractive and well made and the price was right. I didn’t notice any odor from the paint or anything else.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the breadbox. It looks exactly like the pictures and keeps our homemade bread/pastries in good condition. There were no strange scents or smells when I unboxed the package. Assembly was clear and relatively straightforward. The assembled box is sturdy enough and looks good. There is one flaw on our box that prevents me from rating this 5 starts. The shelf is held up by metal dowel pins. These metal pins do not fit snugly in the holes. This means if you shift the shelf around much, at least one pin will fall out. This is not a deal breaker since it can be fixed with the right glue, but it's still enough of an annoyance that I'm going to dock a star. Is it possible that some people will get boxes with slightly smaller holes that hold the pins snugly? You bet. But this design being so dependent on tolerances that the manufacturer cannot hold is a design flaw, in my opinion.

I like the size of this things. It holds a good amount of bread/pastries. It helps make my kitchen look more esthetically pleasing with now allowing my bread/pastries to have a place! This has also helped with keeping some goodies out of sight for my little one and prevented from grabbing them as well. They have no chose but to ask for any goodies they're are wanting when they see them in here. So they are kept higher than they can reach and safely away. It's also helped the adults in my household from seeing certain bread and goodies stored in here and have helped make them last longer than a day here!when it comes to setting it up, the instructions were simple and easy to follow. I enjoy the fact that the pieces were labeled as well as the screws/tools in their individual bags.my one con about this is that I feel like my bread does not last longer than this advertises it to. I've just learned that some things are needing to be individually wrapped instead of just placing them on the shelves out of their box or bags rom the store, so adjustment but making it work overall.

This is a sturdy, attractive and spacious counter top storage box for baked goods or other items. It is super easy to assemble with clear, easy to follow instructions. They even provide you with a little tool to assemble it with. Unlike some reviews, all the holes were perfectly aligned in this one. For the size and quality I think the price is correct.

My husband is undergoing cancer treatment and takes a lot of medication. I bought this cabinet to keep his medication in on our kitchen counter. I had a little trouble putting the back together, but overall assembly was pretty easy. I happened to catch it on sale, so it was a great deal! The finished cabinet is the perfect size and it looks great!

Get your magnetic phillips screw driver and gloves out. The provided hex phillips key is cute but useless as there's no purchase to torque or pressure that can be applied having a non-existant handle. I discovered this working with the knob, I had to tap it first with a provided screw as the pilot hole was too small. As a general note two things I do when assembling items, first count all the parts, hardware too, and also review them for any issues. Second, do the final tightening, in this case screws, when 100% sure of the orientation, fit, and the parts are in place and accessible.Secure the knob first or you may issues securing the catch. The catch is a loose fit and can partially block the pilot hole that is needed to secure the knob, or be aware of that and avoid blocking the pilot hole.As for building the body initially the top and bottom panels each use 2 screws to attach themselves onto one of the side panels, which allows the backing to slide into each of the 3 pieces, channel, holding the backing in place. Then the final side and the front door is secured. The issue I had is the channels didn't align, and the backing would not slide into all 3 pieces. I had to loosen the 4 screws and then I was able to fit the backing as it splintered off a portion on one edge. I knew then the box was not square and would not sit level. Which when completley assembeled was the case.I finished the assembly and did a final screw torque, and on he right side panel, at the bottom front screw, the wood split. Ugh. I like the look and overall feel and assembly of this bread box... but, and it's a big one.One of the pin holes to hold the movable shelf, that I wanted to use, is over sized and the pin doesn't stay in place, it falls out. I had to walk away at that point. To add insult to injury, I came back a few hours later to deal with the oversized pin hole, and there was a small beetle inside the dang thing. Okay, yeah, most likely the bug hitched a ride from the package being outside on my porch and then happened to go throught the assembly process because the shipping box is outside in the trash since yesterday, and then the bug found away into the box through the holes and... I won't ever really know will I.I still like the dang box. lol. Yes I checked it out though I smashed the crap out the little guy, it did not appear to be one of the common types of wood-boring buggies. I'll take leveling the box, an oversized pin hole, spit wood, over bugs any day. One I can fix at my leisure, the other is a not on my watch you're on my now list.
