Here we have a nice heavy bass guitar bridge with attractive gold plating- surely an upgrade for Squiers and other Fender style basses...and even some Fender-branded ones. Its standard five-hole mounting makes it a drop-in for most such instruments. It also has four holes for strings-through-body, which should please owners of early '50s style P Bass (aka Telecaster Bass) models. Ovsal slips a piece of heavy paper under the saddles, so that the bridge plate doesn't get scratched up in shipment...nice touch. Once the bridge is installed, the allen screws for height adjustment lie in channels that prevent the saddles from moving around too much. Included are five mounting screws and an adjustment wrench; these and the bridge are packed in separate ziploc bags, and both bags are shipped in a bubble bag. All arrived here in perfect shape.Overall string spacing is approximately 2 3/16, or about 56 mm. You can find similar bridges for lower prices, but I can certainly recommend this one for replacement or custom builds. Get it while it's still cheap.

This heavy weight 4 string chrome bass bridge with brass saddles is beautifully made. I love the way it feels. It has very nice fit and finish. This is perfect for upgrading a bass bridge or for a four string build. Excellent quality!

I have a cheaper off-brand style p bass and to my ear this improved the tone and sustain. I think it looks great as well with the brass saddles
