Installed this on the back of my Rivian R1T. It works well both as a step and protection against parking lot mishaps.Note that the instructions provided with the tightening mechanism are wrong. Was able to look up instructions for a similar mechanism and it works great to make the step not wiggle or move when stepping on the ends.I did back it into a concrete wall in a parking garage last week. The protector did it's job and my truck is fine. It did dent a bit at the joint, and I can see rust forming at the crack in the coating. Still very sturdy. (See second photo.) Will hit that with a little rust dissolver and paint to keep it from spreading.
