Flysight Black Pearl RC801, which is a kind of 5.8GHz 40channel FPV diversity receiver monitor with 7 inch 1024*600 LCD Screen,is uniquely designed with useful features as below described in Highlights for FPV applications,such as ground station for different drones like DJI phantoms,all race drones,and taking filming etc. How simple diversity works?Equipped with two antennas, constantly switching back and fourth between left and right antenna and choosing the best signal for your footage.Fully support next-wave and air-wave VTX and many other 5.8GHz transmitters due to 40channels.It is a great monitor/receiver for the DJI Phantoms. How Diversity Monitor Work :
The built-in 5.8 GHz Diversity receiver will always ensure you get the best video signal and allows you to use two different antennas. The other great feature is the integrated battery so you do not need to carry extra batteries just for your monitor.
This monitor is compatible with the 5.8 GHz transmitters we sell. If you are unsure that your transmitter is compatible with this monitor, please make sure that the channel frequencies on your transmitter match a channel on the receiver (see table below). This monitor is also compatible with Fatshark and ImmersionRC gear.
[Review]The updated 40 channel diversity receiver is a great improvement for an already great product. I purchased the Black Pearl Model RC801 based on overhelming positive feedback and reviews. The quality and performance I've experienced is on par with what others have reported. That shows me they are consistent which quality manufacturers, if anything, should be. Couldn't be happier. Screen resolution is phenomenal, the diversity receiver works exceptionally well, and the unit is solid, well made and well built. It's been perfect for my FPV hobby. Also a very great product The horizontal flip saved me when my HDMI cables were too short.Works well with PAL/NTSC camera and transmitter.

Excellent Monitor
I'm using this with our production cameras and, when needed, connected to the ST16 controller for the Yuneec H. Easy to see in the sunlight, with the sunshade. The colors are good. Lots of inputs and outputs which makes it very versatile. The portability with the battery is the icing on the cake. We'll be ordering several more.

Why a great choice for FPV pilots ?
If you are looking for an ideal monitor for First Person View or aerial photography, then the Flysight Black Pearl 7" LCD monitor is for you, it has been designed especially for FPV / First person View and outdoor users. The screen has twin 5.8 Ghz receivers built in which offer “diversity”, which means that the receiver with the stronger signal will be active, if the screen needs to switch back over to the other receiver you will not see any drop in picture, the only way of knowing that the screen has jumped from one receiver to the other is by the small blue LED in the top of the screen indicating which receiver is in use. The monitor will not be effected by the 2.4 Ghz RC radio controller as the systems operate on different frequencies.
The Flysight Black Pearl monitor has a very bright & clear image (adjustable brightness) and uses its own built in battery to power the screen when you are at the flight field. The monitor is supplied with a wall charger to charge the internal battery, without the need to remove the battery from the back of the screen.
One of the most important features for a monitor used for FPV / First Person View use is that there is no "blue screen", if the signal becomes weak or interrupted for short periods of time, the Flysight screen will not go to a blue screen, this give warning that you are running out of the range of the video link when the limits of your FPV setup are tested. This feature means that you are able to fly much further and never lose the image to the blue screen.

Ho acquistato questo monitor dopo aver letto e visto tanti unboxing e recensioni. Prima dell'acquisto ho valutato diverse marche e diversi modelli, in base anche al prezzo.L'utilizzo che ne farò è quello di monitor FPV per il drone ad uso fotografico.Quello che mi interessava era di acquistare un monitori di buona qualità, con una buona luminosità e buona risoluzione. Ho notato che tante recensioni purtroppo non sono realistiche, soprattutto per quanto riguarda i test sulla sensibilità dei ricevitori.Il pacco è arrivato integro e sigillato nella pellicola di plastica. La confezione è di buona qualità e sono compresi tutti gli accessori indispensabili, cavi jack e boccole RCA. E' compreso un alimentatore che permette di ricaricare la batteria entrocontenuta. ATTENZIONE. SE LASCIATE IL CARICABATTERIE COLLEGATO, oltre il tempo necessario alla carica, la batteria diventa calda ....La plastica del case è di buona qualità. I pulsanti sono facili da premere e nel loro complesso ... funzionano.L'aletta parasole è di plastica di buona qualità e si richiude completamente (a differenza di altri modelli dove l'aletta è di tessuto). E' di grandi dimensioni e questo aiuterà tantissimo in caso di forte illuminazione esterna.Il display LCD è di buona qualità, risoluzione 1024x600 e l'immagine è chiara. I colori sono buoni. Non ècertamente un monitor dai colori calibrati, ma l'immagine è fedele.Il manuale dichiara una luminosità di 380mcd, che prima dell'acquisto mi sembrava un po' bassa. In realtà ho notatoche in generale i modelli con risoluzione video più bassa, hanno una luminosità più alta.Da una prova che ho fatto in esterno, la luminosità è sufficiente per vedere sempre bene l'immagine del display,questo anche grazie all'aletta parasole. I colori rimangono fedeli anche in esterno.Non ho ancora completato il mio drone e non posso fornire feedback sulla qualità di ricezione. Da alcuni test con un HUBSAN 501, la ricezione è buona, immagine pulita e pochi disturbi (ma questo dipende da tanti fattori, partendo dalle antenne impiegate).Il display LCD acquistato ha anche la funzione cattura fotogramma e registra video, anche se non le ho ancora testate.Il monitor è dotato di molti ingressi ed uscite audio e video, alimentazione, ricarica batteria e questo può essere un vantaggio.A questo punto credo di aver speso bene i 159 euro. Non è esattamente economico, ma è un prodotto di buona qualità arrivato a distanza di 1 giorno dall'ordine.

Connection was easy and fast to my arris drone. Great for a beginner in fpv drone flights . Range is also great for just learning but you can easily upgrade anttenas. The sun shade is nice feature but feels like it could easily break .

Great brightness, great image, but the battery was toast. Light was red while charging, when finished it turned yellow instead of green. On battery power it wouldnt turn on. Works fine with its charger plugged in. Pretty disappointing because I bought this because of its battery portability. 😭Gonna return it if I cant get it to work.

I like this monitor but I was cheated. It advertises as having a DVR yet there is no way to record that I can find. It has a memory slot but that seems to be misleading.*EDIT* The company has provided me with a pic of how to use the DVR. I added it to my review to help others out. I only gave a 4 star review because it sucked having to look for instructions that didn't come with the product. The monitor feels well constructed and really nice screen resolution. Hope the pic help you out until they fix it.
