Bought one of these and the battery was faulty and the reverse switch didn't work. Returned and got another one with the exact same problem. Don't know if Black and Decker has 0 quality control or if Amazon just takes and faulty returns and puts them back in the shelf.

Item showed up with defective battery. Customer service offered me a partial refund that allowed me to buy replacement I am vary impressed with customer service. Product works great.

I buffed out a marble table with it and it looks beautiful. Next comes our car. To me it is a must tool to have and I love my tools.

I was looking for a basic buffer for a table and it worked great. Seems to work well for any basic polishing job or buffering need.

Acts like any Buffer. Nice and strong, easy to operate, great results After a few hours I turned the tool into hedge trimmers.BLACK+DECKER MATRIX 20V MAX is a really good tool.

I have been using the Matrix system ever sine they started making them and own and use almost all of the attachments. I have a set at both my winter and summer homes along with blowers, weed whackers, reciprocating saws and a pole saw using the 20 volt batteries.I use the matrix units probably longer and harder than they were designed for and have worn out and replaced at least 3 of the drive a units.When it was time to replace another one and I when saw this unit and since I did not have the buffer attachment (and do have extra drill attachments) I ordered one.When it came, the battery was dead and would not charge. The buffer attachment was extremely difficult to take on and off. All my other attachments go on and off easily.Using one of my other batteries I checked the function of the unit. When you start and stop the unit there is a large arc flash in the motor that is significantly greater than of my other matrix power units.With the dead battery, difficult attachment, and large arc, I decided I must have gotten a defective unit and sent it back.I ordered another unit, which arrived with all the exact same issues as the first. I have also sent that one back.I will be ordering a Matrix with the drill attachment next and hoping that they received a bad batch of the buffer units and that this is not an indication of a drop in the quality of the Black & Decker Matrix tools overall.

Love the 20v buffer, however the included battery (almost 1/2 the value) had a flashing red light when I tried to charge it. I even tried to charge it on some other B&D 20v chargers I have. Still did not work. Returning this one and will reorder and hope I get one with a good battery.By the way, I tried B&D customer service warranty thinking I might just get them to send me a replacement battery. Guess the concept is just too difficult for them. They are terrible.

I am a homeowner and DIYer hooked on the Matrix system. I realize that hardcore tradespeople may prefer dedicated tools (a tool for each aspect of a project) but for my weekend home repairs this system is perfect.And this is yet another solid addition to that system. The included power base supports a plethora of power tools, with one of those being the included buffer head. As with the other components of the Matrix system this head simply snaps onto the base. Then you just snap a charged battery (one was included with this set) into the base and away you go!The battery provides enough juice for most DIY projects, but if you find that you're running short of power for your projects additional batteries are available. So you can then have one on the included charger while using another to power the tool.And while corded power tools may sometimes be more powerful, I've had no problem using these for my typical needs, and the absence of a cord is much appreciated. And if I need to switch tools say, from a drill to an impact driver, all that I have to do is push a button on the top of the power base, pull off the drill head, snap on an impact driver head, and I'm back in business in seconds.
