It has 3/8" closed cell foam compressed between two heavy duty layers of 1000 denier NyTaneon material. The BlackHawk Special Operations H-Gear Shoulder Harness includes a unique heavy duty drag handle which aides in rescuing a buddy. This system is fully adjustable and will fit any belt up to 2-1/4" wide. A must have for any professional. All edges are bound with a double needle machine. These are fully adjustable and one size fits all.

First time being disappointed with a Black Hawk Product... what made me purchase this product is from seeing image of Special operation operators wearing it during the global war on terror .The difference is the one the operators wore during the war was genuine made in USA mine was made in some Vietnam sweat shop quality as a result the harness is clumsy feels like stiff cardboard in addition the belt button snaps never closes fully when I attach it the many filed belts I own ( pistol web belt and duty ballistic nylon belt)I recommend anyone to try and find the real deal somewhere in the secondary market just look for " Black Hawk industries" or " Black Hawk international" that;s when the company created their products in USA and not in some Taiwan Sweat shop quality overseas .

The other reviewers don’t seem to know what these are for so obviously have a bad experience. These are for your ALICE or duty belt to hold your gear, not for you backpack or for anything else. Great value and quality

ok, i was buying a shoulder strap and mistakingly got this one, and the two part as shown in the pic is actually squeezing my neck, and pushing hard on my shoulder too, and sometimes it fall of cuz there is not a connector between two strapys in the front

pretty bummed. And, we had to make alterations to get it to work very well. Wouldn't recommend it, nor buy another.

I HAVE BEEN USING BLACKHAWK PRODUCT FOR 4 YEARS NOW AND I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THERE QUALITY AND DESIGN. THIS PURCHASE WAS MY SECOND HARNESS AS A BACKUP RIG FOR RAPID RESPONSE TO THE JOB. THIS DESIGN PUTS A LITTLE LESS PRESSURE AROUND THE NECK AREA AND HAS LARGE SHOULDER RINGS TO HOLD RADIO CLIPS. DEFINITLY AN IMPROVEMENT I DIDN'T EXPECT UNTIL I GOT A CHANCE TO USE IT. NO MORE SORE HIPS AND BACK. A REAL NO BRAINER. BLACK HAWK PRODUCTS ARE MADE TO TAKE ALL THE PUNISHMENT OF THE JOB, THEY JUST WON'T FAIL.
