I was looking for advanced technic, but video is very good to watch for beginners. You can learn from this video some tricks.

I read it...Next time I set up a studio ...bit hard in a crowded house...I will be sure to have this vid and possibly "Speed lighting for total Idiots" close at hand. I liked the days when they either went off or not.The video is fine...full of frightfully important stuff...and a woman with long teeth...and you can undoubtedly learn quite a lot from it which will help you with Nikon's compulsive complexity.

Excellent DVD! Technique is helpful not just on the Nikon 700 but anyone using flash. I enjoyed watching this DVD.

It was a good introduction to flash photography. it could have gone into more detail on off camera flash techniques.

If you have a Nikon Speedlight SB700 and a Nikon D7000 camera, this video is right for you. Even if you don't have both of these, you will find this extremely useful. This dvd offers 118 minutes of clear and concise instruction. If you already have the Blue Crane video Understanding the Nikon Speedlight, you will see some duplication in this video, but it is still worthwhile because it concentrates on the SB700.The video instructs on the use of the SB700 with the D7000. Amng the topics covered are:1. TTL-BL2. Flash compensation3. Master/remote settings4. Commander mode5. Quick wireless control--very valuable and informative6. Hard vs soft light7. Three point lighting8. Slow sync demystified--very useful9. Front and rear curtain sync10. High speed sync11. Controlling background exposure12. Bounce flash techniques13. Gives good flash instruction in general, but really helps with the technical details specific to Nikon equipment. Don't get this for a SB-400, not worth it since they're such different products.

This video was defective. The sound was garbled and halting and the images were extremely poor. I thought the video would be a nice compliment to the instruction book that came with the speed light but no such luck.

I have seen this video and found that it had some useful tips and tricks but if you want to really learn how to use the Nikon flash system look at Nikons school video called "a hands on guide to creative lighting", it is about the same price and much more informative. I have an sb 800 and an sb 600 with a nikon d300s camera found that the Nikon video gave more helpful information than just how to use the flashes like this video.See link below
