My one x stopped reading discs all together. Bought this and put it in and it's working like a charm again. 2 notes on install, use the ifixit it guide instead of YouTube ones.1 The ribbon cable in the front broke because I was lifting the black part, not the tan part that is the cable lock.2 when installing the white track runner on the drive you will be essentially tapping the plastic with the screw so make sure it's flush and snug. I did not so the drive kept seeking when I put a disc in. Once I opened it back up I saw the white runner had come loose.Just installed today so will update later with long term results.

Bought this to replsce a bad eye in my XBOX one. Easy to replace without much problem.
