Edit: 1 week later.So after this review went live, the company immediately contacted me. They explained that it was possible that the unit had been damaged somehow in transit and that they are indeed waterproof. I am impressed with how they contacted me and immediately resolved my problem. They did their best to make things right.Original review:I don’t know if all of these units are the same, but ours had nothing on the bottom protecting it from water. We installed it per instructions and it was working perfectly, then we had a pretty heavy rain. The thing stopped working and would never power on again. When we opened it, my husband could see the electrical board, and he wondered if there was a part missing, we double checked the instructions and looked at photos of other people’s installations and concluded that you have to put it outside near your sand filter. He put it on a cement board to keep it out of the dirt. Yeah, it worked for 4 hours. We had to return it. I have to start all over again. Meanwhile, we have a pool full of salt, and no way to chlorinate it. So, I wouldn’t chance this brand. BTW, I searched for a way to contact the company but couldn’t.

This product comes with very brief instructions that are clearly written by someone who is not an English speaker. There is no help available anywhere online that I can locate. It is not intuitive. Very frustrating to spend this much on an item and find they apparently are a company that does not exist.

I purchased this unit on 7/4/2024 and it arrived on 7/7/2024. I hooked it up and started to run the unit.Here are the steps I took:Turn on the power to the unit, press the lock/unlock button, press timer to set hours, and finally press power. The unit runs for approximately 2 1/2minutes and the "Low Salt" light comes on. I kept adding salt little by little trying to get the light to turn off. My salt tester came today (7/10/2024) and as you can see, I am now way over the recommended amount of salt for a 4400 gallon pool.According to the 5 page manual failure resolution for "Low Salt", I should either 1. Add salt or 2. Ensure the cell cord is plugged firmly into the cell housing receptacle. I made sure the cell cord was firmly plugged in.Third picture is of the unit working and only one side is actually functioning. The left side going into the pool works for the 2 1/2 minutes before it shuts off. I have no clue what the right side is supposed to do.If my salt is 4369 ppm, why on earth is the low salt light coming on and not the High Salt light.I will be returning this product because my pool is not getting chlorinated as expected.

I got this for our pool at our vacation home in florida. It is a saltwater pool and I have been needing to get a new chlorator for it for a while. I really cannot be happier with this one! It came very well packed and secured. There was no damage to it whatsoever and it definitely feels very high quality and well made! I'm sure that this will hold up for quite a few pool seasons! The manual that it comes with is very clear and easy to read and understand so set up was a breeze. We have it all the way ready to go and we will be going next week to go put it into the pool. I will definitely come back and update this review once we have used it but so far just testing it out it seems like everything is 100% as it should be and as described in the ad. All of the functions seem to be working perfectly and I have had no issue with it whatsoever. Overall I'm super happy with this and I definitely think it's worth every penny especially if it works as well as it looks like it will. So far this is definitely a 10 out of 10!
