This works well for that it's intended for--overall. I hooked it up using the SPDIF optical output to my receiver.I first tried it with YouTube music from my phone on my high end living room audio system, and it sounded absolutely tinny and terrible! My first thought was that it was maybe just an utter piece of trash.But then I tried playing some songs from my phone from Apple music, using my local library of songs that I ripped from CDs. This sounded infinitely better--not quite like playing a CD directly, but close enough that a casual listener might not notice.However, even with the gain (volume) turned all the way up on this device, the maximum volume I could get was still way too low. On my receiver, typical music listening level from other outputs is around 40%, but for this I needed to pump it up to 70%, which for other inputs would be risking blowing out my speakers. In my case, this still works though, as my amp is a bit overpowered for my speakers (as it should be). The low signal strength might be why the sound quality suffers slightly too.But, at the end of the day, this is a $15 device and it does what it says it does. I'm sure there are far better devices out there to do this, but I suspect they will cost quite a bit more too.

Nice that they include the cable assortment but I did not use them. My old bookshelf speakers have RCA jack connections, and my computer speakers are the usual 3.5 mm plug. I had no issues with the functionality of this BAISHUN Bluetooth receiver, everything worked fine. There were some things I did not like. First one is the bottom of the unit is completely smooth and has no feet so it slides very easily. Next is the display on the unit shows track time but not what track is playing when using the USB / MP3 mode. In the product description picture the green on the knob is very highlighted, almost like it is supposed to light up. In reality it is not highlighted well and does not light up. Lastly the 3.5 mm jack is plastic and when I plugged my headphones in it felt like it was going to break the jack. If you plan on using this stationary and not unplugging things regularly then it will probably not be an issue. I had plugged and unplugged things four or 5 times from the 3.5 mm jack testing different things out. It does not feel like it will hold up in the long run, all the plastic bits feel cheap.

Setup was a breeze. I tell you, the value you get with this kit is hard to beat. Has all the standard inputs for audio including optical, RCA, 3.5mm. There is also an AUX audio output just in case you need it. Couldn't be happier with this bluetooth connection kit. Thanks!
