Warm Tips:
To record video with the remote, for all iPhone and most Android phones, just switch the native camera app to video mode, click the button to start recording, click again to end recording.
For Samsung Android Phones or other Android phones that you can't switch to video mode, please go the camera setting and set "Volume keys function" to "Record video", that way you can take video with the remote.

Like I'd expected this Polarduck Bluetooth Remote Control for my iPhone Camera works correctly. You first have to Bluetooth it your smartphone. Turn on the new remote. On your phone open Settings, touch the Bluetooth item, in My Devices look for the BT1818, touch and hold it. Connected will appear. Then on your phone touch the camera and start using the remote. It's the perfect little setup for your iPhone or Android phone.

These remotes do not work with Pixel 8A phones. Neither one would pair. I even installed fresh batteries.

Just for some levity, I posted a picture of a little tiny box shipped in a large box.You're funny, Amazon.Delivery came earlier than ever expected.Thank you, Amazon.Nothing special about the little box AND more so, the instructions.They weren't instructions; it was nothing more than a product display of contents.The rest would have been up to the recipient to use logic in its operation and pairing.The lanyard was flimsy but basic.There is no extra battery, and the cover is somewhat difficult to remove.It does work for both picture and video.My only question to pursue for resolution is the LED blue light.It only comes on flashing and pairing, but that's it.Should it always remain on when in use?I'll ask the merchant.Otherwise, all is good - IT WORKS - for $5.99.

This device works very well to remotely take pictures on either an iPhone or iPad. It uses bluetooth to communicate with these devices, but once connected to a device, you have to have that device forget it before you can connect it to a different device.
