The battery of this thing stinks. It is an awesome idea but the battery sucks.

Need a way to reset this thing. With GoPro Max as primary and 11 Black as secondary it worked perfectly when I tested it. Both Gopro and the remote functions were synchronized nicely. Were. However, I wanted to test RC more before losing footage so tried powering off the max manually. Once I did that it switched the 11 to the primary and hasn't been able to switch Max 360 to primary yet. In this state with Max as secondary it will not power on Max remotely anymore. If I manually turn it on I can still use the remote to record. However, I'm going to get the GoPro brand remote and likely return this one. I feel if I could reset this unit to factory I could get all 3 products to sync perfectly again.

I purchased this to use with my Hero8.I literally got 1 use in, and my hero8 failed. hard. It started glitching out the video every time, even if this wasn't connected. (I don't blame this product)So for that one use, this worked flawlessly. It was easy to connectIt was easy to learn and train myself to use thisUnfortunately I switched to Insta360 and DJI rather than staying with gopro, so it just sits with my dead Hero8

I like that it’s small & comfortableThe only thing I dislike is when wearing the GoPro with the head strap you can’t adjust the camera by looking @ the watch if the watch showed video it would be awesome

Since acquiring this wrist accessory, I've had 2 solid opportunities to try it out. Both times I tested the device, I was hiking, which in retrospect is actually one of the least useful ways to use this device. I say it's not useful because I typically have the GoPro 12 mounted on one of my backpack straps, which means that the buttons on the watch are very close to the exact buttons on the GoPro. The convenience of this device would probably shine more if you had the camera mounted in a more difficult location to access, such as on a motorcycle helmet or somewhere removed from your person. The device has 3 main buttons: Power, Record, and Change Mode. The change mode button simply cycles between your preset settings. I haven't used this much but if you have the need to do so, it's nice to have an easy cycle button. The Power and Record buttons are self explanatory. The convenience of the power and record buttons comes from the GoPro's QuikCapture functionality where all you need to do is press the record button on the device, and the GoPro immediately powers on and starts recording. This typically takes about 4-5 seconds from the time you hold down the device's record button. You can also power on/off your GoPro remotely with the power button (if the device was powered on within the last ~8ish hours). There is a bit of weirdness to how these buttons interact. For instance, GoPro is off- watch interface is off- if I hold the record button, the GoPro turns on and starts recording- and the watch boots up. From this point, if I hold the power button on the watch, the watch will turn off and the GoPro will continue recording. So it's not exactly a direct 1-to-1 translation of what would happen if you did the same interaction on the GoPro. This is probably intended so that you preserve battery power on the watch, and is simply overcome by getting used to the device.Anyway, the watch screen is okay. Nothing stand-out happening, but it does display useful information including the current recording profile (so you know what Change Mode is doing), the current recording time, the remaining recording time (based on profile), and both battery levels of the GoPro and the watch. All useful information and having a small screen is a step above a simple remote shutter.Visually I enjoy that this device looks like a smart watch. It sort of blends in to my outfit and doesn't seem out of place. I am a man with small wrists and unfortunately that is not optimal to this device's size. It's usable but is a bit bulky in my case.My least favorite aspect of this device is the strap. It's like a more fabric-y velcro material. Using it while hiking means that I sweat a lot and it soaks into the fabric making it a bit gross. I've only used it twice and the dirt/sweat is already starting to stick around. I'm not sure there could be a better material though?

This worked for me in some special situations like when I had the GoPro up on an 18inch tall tripod. While I can use my phone to control and record the camera, the phone is usually also needed for other things like calls, other cameras on set to control, behind the scenes clips etc so this can take some work off my phone and it does work good. Impressive and affordable
