This is an excellent calf exercise machine (truly a commercial gym quality), but the company's customer service deserves a separate praise. I ran into a minor issue with one of the parts (after 4 years of use) and they just sent me a replacement free of charge.

Déçu il manque une bague a collerette Autolubrifiante et une cache en plastique est complétement détruit je m'en suis aperçu une fois l'appareil presque complétement monté alors pour le renvoyer c'est compliqué et malgres mon mail aucune réponse d'Amazon... impossible de trouver la bague car les cotes ont en pouces et j'ai du bidouiller un truc pour pouvoir l'utiliser c'est vraiment dommage pour une machine a ce prix la.

This is a sturdy, great calf raise machine that is easy to put together. However, be forewarned, you must purchase olympic plate holders separately because they are not included with the machine. Nowhere in the product description or details will you find this information. If you read the question and answer section, it is ambiguous whether the machine comes with them or not. A couple of answers, including one from a Body Solid customer service rep make it sound like the machine does come with them.

We are building a high end professional home gym. We have all industrial high end "Life Fitness" equipment along with "Free Motion". We wanted a "Life Fitness" calve machine but at this time we don't want to pay over $2300 for it. I looked on here and realized this could work temporarily. Well, we LOVE it! We think it works just as good as any professional brand one we've used at a gym. Even better actually! The padding is so comfortable! The foot grip area is rounded off and your feet stay put well. We are so impressed and happy with this machine. Very well made for only $400! Our calves have been sore everyday! Buy it!!

There are other seated calf machines to consider but this one has everything - it is well worth the additional expense. Very easy to assemble - every piece fits with precision and is of high quality. Covering and padding on seat and for knees is extremely comfortable. Seat moves with your leg movement for greater range of motion resulting in greater contraction. The rounded foot platform is revolutionary for comfort and effectiveness - this alone makes the machine an excellent choice. Legs have caps with a grip design for firm positioning. One of the best seated calf machines I've ever used - highly recommend.

This calf raise machine is the real deal. I have used MANY calf raise machines in the past, in many gyms, in many states. This is the best so far. For those who have used the Body Solid Squat and Calf Raise Block Platform, which I also own and swear by, the curved foot platforms are wonderful alternatives to the traditional 2 by 4 like rectangle hard edged foot platforms. Assembly is relatively easy, but does require the ability to read and follow picture diagrams. 1 or 2 sockets and or wrenches not stated in the instructions are required. Honestly, this price for a machine originally price at $800 is a steal. Commercial gym quality. If you are considering this machine & can't decide......get it and write a glowing review later!!

only has small bar for old style weights, olympic weights are to large and move to much on such a small bar
