I needed an alternator for my 2006 VW TDI golf diesel and the TSB (technical service bulletin) stated to step up from the 90A OEM alternator to a 120A Hitachi. It was priced at over $500 and an extra $125 for the pulley from the dealer who did not have any in their supply system. Based on an online VW source, I ordered this 140A alternator despite Amazon's vehicle ID system stating it as not compatible. It arrived on the first day of the delivery date range from Tennessee (4 days). Installation was straightforward today. Packaging was good with an anti-tamper seal on the inner product box. I would buy again from Newparts, Inc. without hesitation.
