I bought this for an outdoor project and the weather turned bad so I had to wait a month. tried to use today and the bit broke off in the concrete wall. So much for "long life" and I am 3 weeks past the return date.

After reading the reviews I decided this would be perfect for the job. I needed to drill 4 holes in brick, 1" deep. After several attempts with a regular drill and a hammer drill, I was able to gain about 1/8" in the first hole. I cannot remember the last time I left a negative review, but this bit was like trying to drill brick with a wood bit. Maybe I just received a defective one, total waste of money.

I broke down & bought the Bosch Bulldog and, having used them often, I know that to attach material (that hasn't much load bearing requirements) to concrete/brick using a couple 8p nails or concrete nails is a nice quick option. Price was fair though circumstances precluded me from shoppin' 'round.
