This bounty hunter was recommended by an metal detector expert. He owns 18 metal detectors. Starting from beginner to expert. I'm a beginner and this is perfect to use. It's accuracy is pretty darn good. I played around with this detector for couple of days to get the feel of it. Took it out my first day and got many hits on it. I found coins, an anchor...haha, old tools from a hiking trail that was once a canal. Once you get a couple of finds its gives you incentive to keep going forward. Don't knock this little guy until you try it. Worth every penny!

You can't go wrong with the tracker IV,, Great recovery speed,, lightweight and easy on the batteries The only down size is that it only goes about 5 to maybe 6 inches deep on coins otherwise it's a great all-around beginners detector

First time metal detecting. I did my research and talked to friends whom have been detecting for awhile, this detector came recommended. Have to say I couldn't be happier, took a little bit to find the settings where I liked them but once I did it was on. There are plenty of youtube videos out there to help. Was a little worried about quality and performance of not only the detector but also the pointer but after using both I can absolutely say this combo is well worth the money. My best find was a 1890 Indian head in great shape, I found it within the first couple hours.
