Installed them today and they went on easy. The package came with all of the needed hardware with the bit driver as well as 2 extra screws. I had a spray-in liner put it that didn't cause any issues with the hole size or such. The mounting plate and the actual part you connect straps to is metal (or cast metal). The part that has the lock in it is actually plastic and it is a flexable plastic that you have to bend to get the parts in and out. I don't plan on taking them in and out regularly so I expect they will last a while. And I also have a bed cover that will keep the direct sunlight out (UV's). Overall that is the only thing that I foresee being the weak part and it falling apart. If the plastic brakes, the will not stay in the mounting plate.

Even after lubricating the mounting screws, they are very hard to get in. I used a screwdriver and slowly got it done. I was afraid using a high torque drill or impact wrench would break the screw off in the hole.

I’m thinking this is the same parts Ford uses but charges 4 times more. Fits perfectly into the places they weee made for. Perfect fit

Very sturdy and solid. But, self-tapping screws are very hard to put in. A regular shop drill is not strong enough. You will need a heavy duty impact drill.Brackets fit perfectly in 2023 F-150. A lot less expensive than what dealer wanted.
