Having the clamp with the hook made these my new favorite e track attachment. I use pretty much an equal amount of both styles. So using these in strategic positions make my life much easier. It's a mild complaint but having to put my tool down so I can change the hook out is for peasants. They've got a machine welded, on both sides, j hook on a wide body clamp bracket.

These are total junk. They are built so horribly, that one of the six that came doesn't even stay in the E-track. Even the ones from harbor freight have a better fit and function. Absolute trash.

Holds my tools fine, however a very loose connection at the E-track itself. Out of all my e-track accessories, this one has the loosest fit. My bet is something will come loose on a long drive.

I'm using this in my cargo trailer to secure brooms, and a dustpan. The build quality is very good. The metal is heavy, clips in well and holds in place as it should.

If you've ever read any of my other reviews, you know what a fan of e-track I am. These hooks are unique in that they provide a bit of built in versatility in that they can hold long tools with the spring loaded clamp, but also have a hook for hanging things such as extension cords, ropes, air hoses etc.Overall they are well made and having the option of two methods of securing something with only one "accessory" could be nice, especially if you are tight on storage or don't want a lot of hooks lying around. They just seem as if they are trying to do too much with too little and while they work good, they are not quite up to the standard as individual pieces. Hard to describe really and they aren't bad... just not as good as they could be if that makes sense.My main reason for the four stars vs. five is that the past few sets of hooks I have gotten have a nice rubber/plastic coating over the actual hook portion while these do not. Not necessarily a show stopper, just a feature that others have that I found nice. In reality, these are probably closer to 4.5 stars but you have to pick on or the other and I tend to read 4 star reviews over 5 star because I find people are more honest/point out deficiencies while being a bit more objective than the 1 star blasts of "this is junk".Which these are not (to be clear!) :P

These E-Track tool holders are pretty hefty. They are well-made (good fit, finish, and consistency) from heavy steel that will stand up to more than I will ever conceivably ask from them. The springs are impressively strong and these hold all my yard tools without any risk of slipping.There will be some amount to looseness and rattling when these are connected to E-Track rail, since that is just the nature of these parts. However, they are very secure. I have never seen an E-Track fitting release from a rail unintentionally. The range of movement each holder has also insures that the springs will never be stretched too far, so they will continue to work reliably and hold tools tightly pretty much forever.

I know that E-Track is usually mounted to trailers and inside enclosed trailers, but I had so much leftover from my install that I wanted to put it to use. This really makes my left over E-Track useful in the garage. Mounted it to the wall studs and now I can neatly hang up shovels and racks and even hang some pretty heavy stuff on the hooks. E-Track is super strong but also low-profile.Very happy with these organizers and they would work well in a trailer if you have a lot of outdoor land maintenance tools likes rakes and shovels.
