We’re an extremely musical family, both pleasure and career, and among us there are guitars, sax’s, drums, a xylophone, violins, keyboards and yes, even a steel drum. We’ve used these on the drum and xylophone and they sound great. They’re very comfortable in the hand and they’re beautiful to look at with the maple handles and blue heads.

As the headline says, I'm not a marimba owner, and have never played the instrument. But I have some hand drums and thought these might bring out an interesting sound. So, just for the fun of it, I ordered them.Because I don't play the marimba, I can't compare these to other marimba mallets. I did compare them to ordinary drumsticks and as you might expect, they don't have the "bounce" of drum sticks, but probably aren't meant to.I could see using these for a gong or cowbell, or other percussion instruments, just to play around with different sounds. Fun to have around, anyway.
