It went together easily but very flimsy plastic. Had to hold sides together when cutting bread as they kept bowing outward. Made it difficult to cut slices all the way through. Said it was adjustable for slicing but the only way to adjust was to skip a slot when cutting.

Very weak construction. One slice and it falls apart. I realize it’s a low end model but it would be nice if it stayed together for at least 2 slices

Makes slicing bread easier, I had to glue the side pieces down as they kept popping apart too easily while slicing.

I have to make my own gluten free bread and, after 5 or 6 years, decided to invest in a bread slicer. I guess I should have paid attention to the negative reviews on this slicer. I pretty well ruined a half loaf of bread trying to use this pathetic excuse for a slicer. I couldn't keep the sides from moving so I was getting really thin slices and overly thick slices. The sides are unstable and will not stay in the grooves. I didn't even bother to return it. I was so disgusted with it, I just trashed it. Please think twice before purchasing this slicer.

You get what you pay for. This one wore out in the bottom where the knife cuts. It actually cut little grooves all the way across until they were completely through the plastic bottom. Of course by the time I noticed it, the return window closed. If you want a bread slice guide that holds up you really need to pay a little more and get one that has ridges at the bottom that suspends the bread so you don't have to saw the plastic bottom every time you cut a loaf of bread. Poorly designed and cheap. Don't expect it to last if you make more than one or two loaves of bread a year. Also you get little shards of plastic in your bread.

Making my own bread is something I've done for years finding something to make even cut pieces of bread has gone easier. I had an old bread holder that took up tons of room and was not easy to clean, this takes up minimal room, is collapsible and easy to clean, and still does the job.

It is easy to clean, and easy to use but it's plastic. And not very sturdy. I don't make a lot of bread, so it works for what I need.
