This is a nice set up but I ended up returning it because what I really needed was a proofing box. If I wouldn't have needed that, I would've kept this. Very good quality heating mat.

Overall, this works great! I use it to keep my sourdough warm while proofing and find that placing it on top of the bowl works better than underneath. The suction cup tends to fall off after a little bit so I regularly check the temperature probe and make sure it’s still where it should be to get an accurate reading.

It's working great. Good size for my sourdough starter jar or proofing bowl/banneton. The temperature probe is accurate, it warms quickly and the deadband is +-1 degree so it will hold close to your setpoint.

I use this to keep my starter warm enough to grow. I also put my bowl of dough on it while it proofs on the counter at the same time. It's large enough to do both. Keeps the heat steady, and the thermometer works well. It took a second to figure out how to set the temp but follow the directions. Good value for the money!

I’m not so impressed. I returned it. The heating seems erratic, not stable or constant at all. I was using it for. Quart jar of kefir. The temperature would go from too cold to too hot.

This heating pad has a temperature probe that is suppose to suction cup to the outside of the container. I found the suction cup wouldn’t stay attached so I just tape it on. You can set the temperature you want and it regulates itself. For me the pad is too big because I am fermenting kefir in a much smaller container, but there were no size options for the pad. I am very happy with this device. It is working well for my needs.

Never was able to bake bread in winter before. Just set your proofing basket or metal mixing bowl on it. Cover with a towel to help keep the heat in both for initial and secondary proofing. Will go as high as 85 degrees F which is ideal.
