Worked perfectly. A little expensive but I read a lot of reviews that indicated the cheaper versions leaked and I did not want to repair again.

OEM quality, because it IS OEM. Doesn't bust open and leak like the chinese clone tanks. Cheaper than a new engine, but not by much. Which really makes it WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!!! Come on Briggs!!! Stop gouging your loyal customers... I almost replaced the engine with a Predator just because of the fuel tank. STOP GOUGING!!

This tank has Briggs & Stratton made in U S A embossed on it. The installation holes matched up perfectly for zero issues - quick and easy.No leakage.Use OEM only for this part, worth the money. I know it’s expensive, but I need my Troy built tiller.

I inherited an old Lincoln Electric welder that needed a slew of parts to get running again. One thing it needed was a new fuel tank, as the old one had cracks all through it after sitting for 25+ years. This tank fit perfectly, and got my welder running again. This same tank will fit on my Troy Bilt tiller as well, which needs a tank as well for the same reason, and I will end up ordering this one.

Replaced leaking gas tank for an 8 HP motor that was a Briggs and Stratton tank. Mounting holes and tank was a perfect replacement in every dimension. Totally happy!

Exact fit for an old Troy-Bilt chipper/shredder from the 90’s. Seems pricey for what the item is, but this was the best seller price I could find. The old tank would continually drip gasoline at the seams even after trying to patch it numerous times. Gave up on that idea and ordered this new unit.

This bolted right on in a few minutes. Exact replacement, bolt holes line up, the tab that hooks over the "shelf" that is on the side of the engine lined up perfectly, not a single issue, other than the high price for a piece of molded plastic. This was the lowest price I could find. The details:1999 8hp Garden Way Troy Bilt Rototiller, model number 12089Engine 8hp Industrial Plus, model number 196432, type 1163-E1, date code 990129YD.

tank fit perfectly. Way expensive, but better than throwing the chipper out

OK, it fit perfectly and worked just fine. But, Briggs & Stratton, could you explain to my why a fuel tank should just split in the middle of the night with no F@#$%* human contact and then dump gasoline all over my garage floor?THEN, you charge $75-$80 for a replacement?Seriously? If you had put any quality at all into the original, this should have never happened. You should be paying all of the customers who own an engine with this POS tank on it for having to deal with your inferior half-baked garbage. If you can't make a decent fuel tank, or charge less than $75, you might as well pack it in now. Nobody's going to want to buy your BS crap. The tree huggers say water bottles will be around for 10,000 years. If your fuel tanks can't make 20, maybe you should try water bottles.Oh yeah, $80 for a bottle of water might not work out for you either.

I bought a used chipper,it was fine except that the gas tank leaked and could not be repaired. After an extensive search no replacement could be found. Then I happened to spot a much newer machine of a different brand, with a tank mounted in a much less complicated manner but very secure .Using the information, serial # etc. I ordered a new Briggs & Stratton fuel tank from Amazon, which arrived in a short time . It fit perfectly and the chipper is running Great. Thank you AmazonRalph.
