BUT, the tank skid plate on my '83 will not fit back on without a little fabricating. Overall, GREAT option as tanks for first gens are near impossible to find, or super overpriced.

If you search the internet for a gas tank for model years 1979 to 1983 you will find nothing but I want to tell you this will absolutely work.
