Metal prongs are very sturdy & sharp. Wooden handle is sturdy. Great product, definitely recommend for breaking ice!

It seemed to work, but I haven't had a real need yet for it. I tried it out and it broke ice as it was supposed to. ergonomic handle, lots of tines, and long, sharp ones. I would recommend it.

Perfect tool for breaking up sidewalk salt. It would work well for chipping ice, also, but right now ice is my problem and salt is my solution, so to speak. This is a sturdy tool. I have another I have used for two years, and another that was used in the church for longer than that. They have held up well with heavy use. Comfortable to use. Very, very happy with the tool. (But not a very good backscratcher.) ;-}

The best ice pick I ever used! The tines are strong and help separate the ice cubes quickly and efficiently. I just leave it lying on top of my ice cube tray for handy use.

It's a great product! It works perfectly for me. I find it less dangerous than the one point pick, not so sharp and more effective. Also it doesn't rust. I ordered at the same time two different typical ice picks as I was not sure which one would work better and I don't even use those.

This appears to be a nice solid ice chipper. I looked around various retail stores but I did not like the quality of the products being offered. Most seemed too flimsy, and a few had metal prongs that were not made from steel. This ice chipper has a wooden handle which is attached to a metal cap, which is welded to the piece holding the 6 steel prongs. The length is 9 inches as stated in the product title. The metal cap and prong holder do not appear to be made from solid steel, looks more like aluminum to me as the whole ice chipper was too light to be all-steel components. This doesn't bother me too much as the steel prongs are the parts which come into contact with the ice. Also the steel tips are not sharp at the end, they are more blunt. Again for me this is not much of a problem. I tend to score the ice chunks with a serrated knife before using this ice chipper, so once again it does its job. One final note: product is made in Taiwan

Does what it is supposed to do. No problems with handle or anything peeling of points as others have noted.
