Bought this to try as a replacement for a cable wall plate that popped out of wall due to small space between outside wall and wall board creating tension on tv cable. It fit the opening well and the opening on the plate took tension off the cable and allowed secure fastening to wall

The old work wall mount did its job. It fit, it's quality was ok, the plastic was adequate but just a little flimsy. They are easy to install and provide enough support to hold the plate in place. It is a good value for your money. If you need something more solid though, you have to go with a electrical box and modify. Overall though easy and nice.

I used this to cut a hole in my closet wall so that I could feed in an extension cable to add light strips into my closet. This does the job well. The template makes it easy to cut the perfect size and as long as you are comfortable cutting into dry wall straight, it does a very clean job.It makes a pass through hole tidy and looks to almost be standard as long as you line it up with other power outlets.

Just what you need for a do-it-yourself TV wall mounting project. You don't need a gang box for low voltage HDMI cables. It would be nice if you could fish a tube down the wall behind the sheetrock but that isn't essential. Be careful to cut the correct size hole in your sheetrock and you should be good to go.
