Not sure how the hooks work because when I opened the box, one of the hooks had been opened and USED!!The adhesive was all messed up and product was useless.This shouldn't happen :(I am going to return for refund but shouldn't I feel like I shouldn't even have to mess with that. I don't want someone else to get this used item either.UPDATE - not only was it used, I also discovered it was broken as well

Ordered two sets of five. Size of the hooks is good and probably the ONLY reason I am giving two stars. So far 4 out of 10 hooks have fallen because of the poor adhesive performance. According to the product description maximum load bearing capacity is 16lbs per hook. I have maybe loaded each hook with 5 to 6 pounds and 4 out of 10 have fallen off the wall because the adhesive strips did not hold. Instructions indicate to give 24 hours to securely set. I waited a day and a half , so about 36 hours. Now I’ve had to purchase separate adhesive strips to try and make these work. Poor adhesive. False information/advertising related to how much these will hold. Not really worth the value paid since I have had to figure out and pay for a remedy to use these instead of these hooks doing what they are supposed to do.

I love the simplicity of these hooks. I’ve used them in the showers of the last 3 homes I’ve owned. The only drawback is that the adhesive is so strong that it will damage plaster, papered or wood paneled walls.

Bought these to hang towels on for my glass shower. Came in a pack of 4 and these are very nice towel hooks. They have some weight to them, these are not the cheap 3m hooksnyou will get from Target or Walmart. They are solid, high quality hooks. The backs are sticky with a very strong adhesive so plan ahead before mounting. Once you attach, they are going to stick around for a good long time.

I use these hooks for a variety of things, security cams- so I dont use screws in apartment, hooks in kitchen for dish towels, and one by the backdoor for my winter jacket, it holds all and looks good, very happy will be getting more
