It was well packaged and worked exactly as I expected it to work. It was a good value for the price and this type of tool is important if you are replacing internally routed cables on your bike. I don't do this often, so I didn't want to splurge on an expensive tool to do this. If you were doing this often, you might want to invest in something more expensive. But I might have to do this 1 or 2 times every 2 years. I'm more likely to misplace this tool than wear it out.

I had to use this on my internally routed frame. It works great, I still wish that internal routed frames were not a real thing.

I’ve changed out my housing and cable about once a year or less. Now I’m getting my son into biking and bought some used bikes. I changed out his housing and cable because shifting was so difficult. This tool made it so fast and easy. I tried without it and gave it five minutes of attempts. Grabbed the tool, fed the cable the magnet literally done in one minute. There are other name brand tools that are way more $$. This did the job has extra attachments depending on the type of housing you need to route internally. Bonus is it looks professional and stores in a small box provided. Highly recommend.

If you work on your own bikes, this is a must have. big time saver when you have internal cable routing, which is pretty much every modern bike nowadays. No more having to blindly try and fish for wires inside the frame and HOPING that the wire and hoses go where it needs to go, which usually takes like 100 tries before it works.I should have gotten this much much sooner. And this kit is a bargain compared to the Park Tool version.

The cable router works well with carbon frame. It however had trouble with the welded joints on alloy frame, magnet not strong enough for the thickness of the aluminum.
