Works well, wish there were speed adjustments. Pads that come with it are cheap but work. I used it to try to remove some scratches in a small area and didn't get any swirl marks. But, when I do the whole vehicle I will buy some higher quality pads just to play it safe. At the original list price 79.99 its over priced.

Much has been said about this buffer in other reviews so I'll not reinvent the wheel. This is a typical "get what you pay for" situation. For the money, you get a pretty solid tool that has shortcomings that more expensive competitors don't as far as weight, vibration, control layout, etc. If you only occasionally need a tool like this - as in a couple times a year - then you'll get by with this. Greasing the gears as recommended in a superb review by Java Dude is a great idea. As far as the noise level, in an industrial setting, an 8-hour time weighted average of 85 dB for any given employee exposed to loud noise requires hearing protection. Java Dude states that this polisher emits 102 dB of sound, and I won't disagree or question his measurement. I'd simply recommend using some foam ear plugs or even better, some muffs while using this - a good backpack leaf blower is roughly 115 dB while operating when measured at the ear. So......yeah. Loud to the point of potential hearing damage. The included pads are typical junk, so again, get better pads to use with this polisher and it'll be much better. Out of the box, it's a middling tool but has value potential with a couple simple tweaks. Lastly.........I'm by no means a fan of the dishonest advertising you'll find on many item descriptions - this one included. Power cord length should be a very easy no-brainer, and not subject to such deviations as has been cited. Three stars. Hope this was helpful.

The variable speed settings make it perfect for everything from light polishing to more aggressive cutting work. I used it to restore the shine on my car's paint and headlights, and the results were incredible. The ergonomic design makes it comfortable to hold, even during longer jobs, and the motor runs smooth and quiet. The speed dial is easy to adjust on the fly, which is great when working around curves or sensitive areas. I also appreciated that it came with multiple pads, saving me a trip to the store. If you’re looking for a reliable buffer that offers pro-level performance without the pro price tag, this one is it.

Advertised as brushless but it is not. Other than that it works great. Have polished two cars already. Got it a couple of weeks ago.

My orbital buffer is one of the larger ones, and now about 15 years old. I was looking for something smaller that I could get in tiny spaces to do areas like chrome bumper areas. This works perfectly! Out of the box you could tell it’s a very quality heavy duty made machine. After turning it on, it has a little vibration but easy to handle and it is a little heavy, but this one works really good compared to the older one I have with a large buffer surface as this one is smaller and easy to maneuver in all the places I need to go. It feels like a quality tool that’s going to last a long time. It’s not a cheap put together item you can tell. Comes with a few different pads although I don’t think it’s hard to order more for this size. She’s very happy! I finally found one that’s a perfect size for doing smaller areas or the whole car. I give it an A+ and would highly recommend this tool to anyone looking for a smaller sized buffer that works really well! Even if you’re a woman :-)

This buffer surprised me in the best way. Out of the box, it feels solid—like something meant to last a while, not just flash a few spins and call it quits. It’s got enough weight to give you confidence without turning your arms to jelly, and it delivers power through a nice range of speeds, which is great when you’re switching between waxing the car and polishing out that mysterious grocery store door ding.My Rubric✅ Good = Qualifies as a selling point➖ So-So = Not great, but also nothing resembling a showstopper❌ Not Good = Could be a showstopperMy star ratings, which tend to skew upward due to limitations in the 5-star system, are further elaborated in a decimalized scoring at the end of the review. Finally, although some items have been freely offered via the Vine system, I refuse to sell out and will never allow a vendor to influence my scoring through any means other than the quality of the product, both on its own and in relation to the current pricing at the time of my review. I value the efforts of other honest reviewers and wish nothing more than to pay their efforts forward in hopes of faithfully guiding others to informed decisions. The Good✅ Solid build quality – Feels substantial in the hand and not at all flimsy✅ Quiet and efficient – Doesn’t sound like a blender running loose on the hood✅ Excellent speed control – Six variable speeds let you fine-tune based on the job✅ Comfortable grip – Rubberized body and adjustable handle help with fatigue✅ Useful pad variety – Comes with color-coded foam pads for scratch removal, polishing, and waxing✅ Good value – For the price, it offers features and power close to more expensive unitsThe So-So➖ A bit heavy for longer sessions – Not a problem for me, but younger or smaller users may find it tiring➖ Corded design – It’s actually a plus in terms of consistent power, but if you’re hoping to roam cordless, it’s worth notingThe Not-Good❌ Lock switch ergonomics – The button for locking the power on could be more conveniently placed or easier on the thumb for extended useThe DetailsThis 800W dual-action orbital polisher isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel, and honestly, that’s part of the appeal. It does its job well. I tried it on a resin bar top I’ve been meaning to buff out, and between the speed range and the included pads, I was able to bring back a very satisfying shine with minimal effort. The copper wire motor and carbon brush setup are well suited for extended use, and the vibration is impressively low considering the unit’s strength. It’s got a professional feel to it, even if you’re a DIY weekend type like me.The pads attach easily and hold up well under pressure. I especially appreciated the orange and yellow pads for the initial polish and finish, respectively. I haven’t pushed the limits on wood or tile yet, but I’d be confident using it on furniture or other surfaces as needed. The power cord is long enough that I didn’t have to dance around the garage outlet, and it stows away neatly with the rest of my detailing tools.Overall, it’s a dependable machine that doesn’t skimp on power or control. Just be ready to give your thumb a break if you’re doing a large vehicle in one go. That’s the only thing keeping this from being a nearly perfect tool in my book.Final Rating: 4.5/5(A solid, powerful, and quiet polisher that’s easy to use and well-equipped for car detailing. A better-positioned lock button would make it a true five-star standout.)

It’s slightly heavy and vibrates a little more than I expected but it performed as expected. Very solidly built.
