I mixed it just like the instructions said and tried for 3 days to get my Superworms (Darkling Beetle larvae) to eat it but they never touched it and the worms lost their plumpness and Zero shedding (the best indicator they are eating/growing).UPDATE: The company reached out to me after my failed attempt to return the product and offered a full refund. I can’t use the product for my Superworms but they made it right so I also can’t complain. 🙏🏼👍🏼

So, Flokies roaches wouldn't touch this food the first time I made it..but now they LOVE it. I like it bc it helps keep the dubias hydrated. I add a bit of water to it after a day or two, just to keep it moist not not dry out (I keep heating pad under the large container, it's the only way I keep the temp warm enough). Dubias love the food. I give them this gel and reg. Dry food...they finish the devour first Everytime. I also add a bit of bee pollen on top. It is a bit expensive. I'll make a big batch and freeze it in chunks, take out what's needed the evening before and it's fully thawed by morning. It smells kinda like wet flour..so not bad...it's not air freshener but it doesn't stink...the food is quality in my opinion...my only issue is that it is a bit expensive.. especially if you have a bigger colony, more than 100.. Packing size is good. Functions as it should..feeds as it should..lol

I normally feed my insects for my reptiles leftover vegetables so I reduce waste in my house. I was going away for a short trip but had a pet sitter come feed my reptiles and Tarantulas while I was gone. So I separated by size for ease of feeding when I was gone into cups with some milkcrate. I'm telling you in MINUTES the crickets and dubias roaches were ON it. I've never seen them go after something so fast.Gut loading your insects before you feed is VITAL to your pets health. Knowing these guys will be loaded with nutrition for my pets is worth the $18. It's definitely expensive but based on the ingredients I feel it's worth the cost.See photos of pinhead crickets and dubais of all sizes on it withing minutes of adding to feeding cups.Extremely easy to make, quality is top notch, smell is fine, nutrition 10/10

I live in FL where dubias are considered invasive so are prohibited. It’s all but impossible to find a reliable source of discoids online so I started breeding my own years ago since I rescue reptiles & often need a lot of high quality bug protein. I was excited to find this product when it 1st appeared online but for some reason, the 1st time I offered it my bugs didn’t seem too like it all that much. & they will eat almost anything that doesn’t eat them 1st! Anyway - I tried again since I had more left in the 2 packages I’d ordered. So glad I did. They LOVE this stuff. And so much easier and cheaper than dry cricket or roach food (I’m raising roaches in a 60 gallon tote, so I use a LOT of food!) plus organic veggies and oranges. In the pics, everywhere there is a pile of discoids, there is a brick of this stuff underneath them. They dogpile on it when I put it in their tote & stuff themselves silly. Is like a shark feeding frenzy. Added this to my list of things on auto order. Yeah - it’s a bit of a pain to mix it with boiling water. But not too bad. Tip for getting it out of whatever container you put it in - line it with “Release” brand aluminum foil. Nothing sticks to that. Mix the product with boiling water as directed. Pour into your pan lined with the non-stick foil (parchment paper would likely work as well) & wait 30 mins or so for it to cool & turn solid. Cover & refrigerate. Cut in pieces to feed your bugs. Crickets seem to like it too, but Im less invested in their long term health, given their avg lifespan of about 7 weeks and propensity for dying well b4 that regardless of how good the husbandry is. If my leopard would eat anything else, I’d never have another cricket in this house! Anyway - I say try this stuff. Don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I make this for my dubia roaches and crickets. It is an amazing product, does make quite a bit of food. I know why it's called devour, my dubia roaches literally devour it over night. The crickets love it too. Smells good and its easy to make. I'll continue buying this of my feeder insects.
