This is a nice case. I had one of the older models without the built in locks, and use it all the time, but this one exceeds my previous good experiences. You can hold a lot in this case, and it can be configured in multiple ways. You can even add inserts if you find the need. It says you can carry up to 5 pistols or 21 mags, just know, there is a trade off depending on the size of the hand guns and the length of the mags. I had some larger mags, 20+ rounds, that need to lie on the side to close, so depending on your exact load out, your combinations may differ. But, that is what is great about this box. It is highly customizable, and you can re-configure at any time. Just save the hard closed foam. It is pre-cut and modular, so not like that soft foam you have to cut and rip out. This is a go to box for me. It is durable, keeps the contents from shifting while in use and the now convenient integrated locking mechanism makes it more streamlined that boxes with external locks hanging off. I have not tried to travel on an airline with it, but the locks say TSA approved, so I guess if you followed all the appropriate protocols you could use it to travel with as the box will hold up, just need to check the regulation on your destinations.

Very high quality gun case! It is fairly large to fit multiple guns and magazines. It will only fit stock magazines though because the case height with not be tall enough to fit them in the slots allotted. You could possibly fit them lying down though.The double locks are a nice addition. Once the codes are entered, you press a small button underneath the lock and the clamps lift up. Very easy to close and lock and they feel very secure and not flimsy.It also comes with a dehumidifier to keep your case free of moisture. Overall, this is a great case for storage! Large enough to fit your needs but small enough to fit in tight places. Awesome product!

The Kinghardcase is great for secure travel to events around the country. While not as secure as a gun safe, it is considered "secure enough" by the TSA. The case is made of heavy-duty plastic, and the locking latches keep the casual thieves out. When traveling by car, you'll want to keep this in the trunk and out of sight because all of this security is lost if a thief grabs the case by the convenient handle and runs off with it.The TSA key (available anywhere) easily defeats the combination locks so that the TSA can open and inspect the contents. The lock label shows the key required. The key does not come with the case for "security reasons", but should. I've ordered one separately in case I forget the combination.The inside of the case is roomy enough to store five full-sized semi-autos. There are also twenty spots for storing magazines or removable barrels. Each section is customizable to store your guns, magazines, headsets, etc., by removing multipart foam plugs and partition walls. The included needle-nosed pliers are very handy for this process. The pliers also help when pushing the button to change the combination (my kit included an instruction card).I am not concerned about humidity when traveling between Colorado and Arizona, so the cheese grater-styled desiccant holder can stay in its Ziploc bag so the desiccant beads don't spill everywhere. If I use this desiccant holder, I will line it with thin tissue.For the many months of the year that I am not traveling, I will use this to store firearms that don't need premium space in my primary safe. The case will be locked but hidden.

UPDATE! My son packed a pistol and flew with it halfway across the country. He did purchase an additional lock for it to comply with federal law, and he added a tag with his name, phone number, and a message not to cut the lock but to contact him to open the case if needed. He also placed a tracking device inside the case so he could watch it as it progressed through TSA and the airport luggage loading. There were zero issues getting the case where it needed to go. He did make one mistake, though. He forgot to remove or loosen the pressure relief valve before checking it, so when he picked it up after the flight, the case was slightly squished. That definitely shows that it is air tight and that the seal is very solid.Original review: My son who knows about these things examined this box for me and we discussed all the pros and cons. The waterproof seal appears to be excellent, and it even has a pressure relief valve to decompress after flying. The dessicant also seems to be good quality. We both really like that the foam in this case is semi-modular. Most cases we looked at in this price range are solid foam that you have to cut to fit your firearm. This one has places formed to fit most pistols, and one section is removable to make room for optics or ear protection. The only issue we found is the built-in TSA locks will not suffice to meet the rules of travel. We also plan to use an additional padlock to ensure that whomever is flying with it is the only person who can open it per federal law. Fortunately, there is a spot to add an additional padlock.Also included is a pair of needle-nosed pliers. I'm unsure of the reason except for possibly changing the password.We did have to look up an instructional video in order to figure out how to reset the lock code since no instructions were included with it.
