I recently ordered the butter slicer for my husband. He's in charge of making my gluten free trail mix that uses butter. His biggest complaint is that the fit is off. The corners on the slicer are rounded where the butter sticks are right angles, so it's not a great fit. The wire slices fine. It faired well after being cleaned in the dishwasher. The tongs are okay. Three stars for meeting expectations.

It's a great shape, and the wire is securely set in a zig-zag/ladder pattern across the unit. But as of this writing, it's not clear in the description that the slices are done with wire and nod blades. The tiny tongs that go with them aren't very springy, and will likely need to be bent back outward a bit after a dozen uses.
