I had a similar butter dish which broke after falling and I ordered this one thinking it would be the same quality. However, this one is not even half as good as my previous butter dish. This is a very poor quality subpar product. The ceramic seems brittle and the wooden lid already started chipping and leaving wood particles everywhere. Look at the picture and you will see. I had already put butter in the dish before the lid started disintegrating so I’m not sure if I can return it. I contacted the seller but they were of no help. I am going to return it.

the item was recieved and in good condition, it is a really nice butter dish, I highly recomend this to accent any kitchen and keep your butter in it
