Perfect solution in my classrooms for older technology. I wish they would come with the power adapters, you have to purchase these separately. Video and audio work great with no signal loss.

Does not work with a Mac laptop. It would probably work with an external power supply but it does not come with one and does not even mention a power supply in the product description. I borrowed a 5VDC power supply from another device and it started smoking and shut down my Mac. It's probably an incompatible power supply but it should come with one and/or have polarity protection or just take a USB connector if it needs 5VDC.

My need was to send several 2016 MP4 HD digital imaging video files from my laptop, which has only an HDMI output, and project these files using an older analog video projector with a VGA input interface. This interface converter worked perfectly!

This little device is extremely well-made and works VERY well - unless you need to connect it to a Miracast dongle, in which case it does not work at all. Of all such converters that I tried, this one was the best and producing clear video and clean audio.
