(Computer-Aided Gear Selector) only allows up-shifts from 1st to 4th gear, preventing 2nd and 3rd gear engagement at light throttle speeds between 15 and 20 mph. The Skip Shift Kit eliminates the annoying mandatory 1st to 4th gear shift. Allows full 1st through 6th gear changes at any speed for maximum performance and acceleration. Plugs seem decent. Don’t even try to use the zip ties, garbage. Break when bent.

Hard to believe I could buy a 94 six speed Corvette that did not already have this installed. I can now shift when I want to. If you also have a convertible it is a little harder to install because it is right above the re enforcing x frame but with a little patience it can be done

Does exactly as it says. It was a quick and easy install. The light comes on every once in awhile but they said to expect that. Only criticism I have is the very cheap zip ties. Had to buy my own.

The CAGS built into the ZF 6 spd has to be one of the goofiest things ever on a Corvette. Well, that and the "bread loaf" on the passenger dash of the C4. To be fair, CAGS prevented a gas guzzler tax on the C4. This is an easy install. The hardest part is jacking up the car securely to reach the connector. One of my existing connector latches broke (it was 30 yrs old and brittle) so I ran a cable tie around the mated connector bodies to hold the adapter in place. Now it shifts like it should in the first place. The ZF 6 spd is a great transmission: nicely spaced ratios for the car. Everyone who has one needs this adapter!

Works exactly as billed. The instruction sheet provided could however be improved. The illustration on the sheet was excellent but the written instructions were somewhat vague. Going back to the product listing, I found a more understandable description of what to do, what it accomplishes and what brief duration dash error message the "disconnected" wires will produce. Also I was able to secure the loose wire end to the other "secured" capped off wire end with one of the provided slip ties. The end result is I now have eliminated the annoying CAGS/Skip Shift feature and do not have to see an annoying dash light that stays lit. And I still have the option to easily reconnect the original wire connection to activate the CAGS feature.

It took about 2 minutes to install and works perfectly.It came with clear instructions with pictures.If you have a C4 with a six speed, use this device from Midwest Corvette.Great company!
