I am installing a battery backup system and this tool cut the 2AWG wire without much effort. What I would expect from 18 inches of leverage. Good Job.

Junk. Advertised as heavy duty cutters - I have a 8" snip that will cut 3/16" braided steel cable, the blade on the "heavy duty" cutter dented - very soft blade junk, junk and junk.

Well made, cuts copper and aluminum wires cleanly with little effort.No, they aren't the same quality of industrial use tools, but they will get the job done hundreds of times.

I don't often need to cut large wires, but when I do this can handle it. Since I only do it occasionally, I did not want to spend a ton of money on a cutter. This met my criteria and handles the job with ease. It isn't perfectly smooth to open and close, but is what I expected at this price point. If I was cutting larger cables on a regular basis, then I would look at ratcheting cutters. However, for occasional use this is perfect!

I bought some stainless steel cable and these snips cut right through like the wire was made of cloth. Weare talking about 1/8 stainless cable not bike cable. A really good pair of snips.
