Use hand and eye protection when handling. Place water in a mixing bucket, then add in Calcium Chloride. Do NOT put Calcium Chloride in the bucket first.
To increase Calcium Hardness by 2 ppm, add 2 oz of Calcium Chloride for every 1,000 gallons. See label for instructions and warnings.

The price is great, and it does raise the hardness of the water. But… I have a small (Internet inflatable - which is AWESOME) hot tub, and this product turns the water from a crystal clear to dingy appearance. I’ve used it in my spa twice, and both times it made the water very unappealing and I had to dump it. I currently use another product (much more expensive) which does not impact water clarity. In a pool, this product probably is fine, but for small volumes of water you may want to try something different.
