The only issue I have with these parts is they only seem to last about 3 years but then again the OEM parts only last 4-5 and cost much more.

I'm not a mechanic. I'm middle aged female person. The steering stopped working on my riding lawnmower. I checked with the John Deer franchise close by and they wanted $100 an hour! plus parts... That is robbery, so I watched a few You-tube videos to see whether or not I could fix the problem myself. I figured out what part was needed and yes, I could fix it, but I really didn't want to do it so I hauled it over to a service station who do this kind of lawnmower work. I had to pay for a few hours worth of work and now I am back to mowing for many years to come. I would recommend this part if your steering is no longer engaging. They sent an extra bushing thing. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. I recommend this if your steering goes.

Part was identical to OEM. Fit great, easy to install, works like it should.

This kit is complete garbage. Bought this early spring installed it an it worked fine for 1 mowing. Second time out the steering gear started to skip. By the 3rd mowing it was almost completely stripped again. Don't waste your money!!

Took a couple of hours taking my time. So far tight turns are perfect and nothing skipping at the gear.Well, it is 5-27-22 and a couple of years... the steering still works fine. I am, however, careful not to turn too hard without moving the tractor to prevent extra wear and tear on the assembly that I repaired.

Parts worked but ended up replacing two metal parts after 20 hours of use. Others may not have this issue. Softer metal it seemed
