Just what we needed in case of strong winds. Easier to drop one side, toss the strap and raise the awning. Had this product for our motor home in the past as well

Used while camping on the east coast and it worked great! I usually cant keep the awning open while along the beach with the winds and this kept the awning sturdy through regular coastal winds. When it was going to storm I retracted the awning since I knew the winds were going to be crazy but felt very secure otherwise! I'm 5'2" and was worried about effectively strapping it down by myself but it was super easy and took about 5 minutes. Definitely worth the small investment for peace of mind.

Like it so much, I have since picked up two more. I use for my 16’ awning; also use one for holding down my 16x16’ gazebo to my deck at my home. Wind does not even touch it now!

Very simple and effective. Help my awning securely.Took it off to roll my awning up and the wind destroyed my awning in 2 seconds. It was fine with it attached.Buy two and sell one to your next camping neighbor at an inflated cost:)

Works great, I use it to hold down my electric main awning. I may have made a little to tight , my awning roller has a sweeping bend in it now that makes the motor grunt to roll up. However, I loosened the strap, rolled the awning a half turn tightened the strap again for a couple days, all was well. Has to be tight to work right. FYI, I used to Large U Bolts with a Flat Plate for channel the strap through so it wasn't directly on the awning material.

Used it once, I had to make some modifications like adding a hook at the end to connect on my awning it does the job for me.

I was amazed at how sturdy and effective the kit was. I take my RV to the open country of western Oklahoma often. I never bothered to deploy my awning due to the extreme and virtually constant winds. I'm very happy I decided to try this hold down kit because it works great even in fairly high winds. I can finally enjoy the use of my awning and get out of the often brutal sun. The Camco 42514 RV Awning hold down kit is adjustable and will work with any size awning.

So far this is working well. We have not had a bad storm to test it yet but seems like it should do the job. I will let you know if I feel differently later.

It's hard to get it to stay in place while tightening the anchor straps. We ended up installing in the middle of the awning instead of on the edge as shown.

This product is easy to install and works great. So far it has handled wind gusts of over 30 mph with no difficulty. I have a 38 ft RV and live in the high desert. This is a windy place and can get pretty bad in the winter. However I feel confident that I will not have to worry about my awning this year. If that changes I will come back and let you know.
