This mount should work in theory. However, the way the arms are positioned, you can not get the phone flush with the fence. Therefore, we had the fence in the corner of our video every time we used the mount which is just annoying. Would not recommend this mount.

Best mount I have used to date. I use this for baseball games where fences behind the plate are usually bowed out and uneven. Most phone mounts don't do particularly well with an uneven surface. This one allows you to make a variety of adjustments to cope with these situations and to dial in a setting that puts the camera in the right position to minimize fence in your camera view. The one knob to lock/unlock the entire setup is clever, allows a lot of micro-adjustment and generally works well. After using it four times, it is turning out to be sturdy and reliable. I'd definitely get this over any spider mount. I'm very satisfied with this product!

This phone holder is great for my son, who throws discus. He's able to record himself while throwing and watch back his throwing sessions in order to self improve his form. This phone holder is easy to set up & attach to the fence & works well for its purpose.

My son plays sports and also likes to film soccer, and trick shots in the backyard. Once we got his phone in place, it works great. Sometimes it can come lose, but it you get everything set and tightened up it works great.
