This base has not worked well for me. The internal mechanism keeps coming loose, which results in the base having way too much play (it doesn't just rotate; it rocks/wobbles). I've been able to get inside and tighten the screws that affect the play, but they keep working loose each time.

I shoot on the peak design travel tripod, and this fits right into the quick release to offer a trustworthy panning platform. Worth every penny and the extra weight.

This unit was well made. The fit and finish was nice, and it included a single 3/8" to 1/4" adapter making it easy to connect to a ball head or leveling base. The unit turns with minor resistance, like a fluid motion making it easy to swing to the desired position and not just free spin.

Does the job claimed for it at a modest price. Well designed and nicely finished. Surprisingly smooth in operation.

Only had it for a day. It does what I need it to do, and its small enough I can keep it in my tech pouch. I will note that even at its loosest, the panning motion is a tad stiff. However, it doesn't lurch, its a smooth turn. When you hand-tighten it as far as it will go, you can still scrape some movement out of it, but not without effort.I'm using it on my peak design travel tripod, as now I can pan without using a separate ball head, which reduces its overall height considerably. I'll update this review if something goes horribly wrong.

I purchased this leveler for leveling my new Astro tracker (Benro Polaris) and as I sometimes need to make very small and precise level adjustments. This leveler is very easy too attach and operate. It’s very well built and sturdy. I used to image also with a heavy Sony 200-600 telephoto lens and it worked for me. Hope it helps!
