I went through 3 different spikes in about 6 weeks before purchasing these and they have lasted me 2 years!

Easy to use and clean and provides great traction. This was the first time I hiked in snow/icy trail and I was really impressed by these micro-spikes.

I liked mine so much, I bought these for my wife. Walking the dogs on the sidewalks in Wisconsin in the fall, winter, and spring can be very dangerous with unseen ice in the early morning or dark evenings. These things stay on shoes/boots VERY well (I've never had one come off or out of place unintentionally) and make walking on ice like walking on dry concrete. Take your shoes off if you have to run back into the house across hard wood floors to "get" something you forgot (or go to the bathroom)! The only issue I've encountered with these is that the hold on to mud. If you're walking/hiking in mixed terrain, that has mud or soft moist dirt, these will load up with it and not let go. Not the fault of the product, in my mind, but it can be a pain to have to try to clear them of mud.

I use these all winter for hiking in New Hampshire. They do a great job. They are relatively easy to put on my hiking boots, and they provide great traction hiking on trails. They are sturdy and haven't gotten gotten rusty after use all winter.I wouldn't recommend them for walking on paved roads or other hard surfaces unless the snow and ice is deep, because they aren't very stable on a hard, non-ice surface. For road walking, I use Diamond Ice Trekkers. But the Chainsen Pros provide much more traction off the road, walking or climbing on snowy, icy trails.

Had a pair of these before that was stolen. On the first use with my second set the cleat that is under your heel snapped making me lose my footing and fall. Which caused minor injuries to my wrist, back, and ankle. I bought these so I'd have confidence walking on slippery surfaces (ice) but I was clearly wrong.

New pair, first hike, only 4 miles.Left spikes completely mangled boot toe.Right spikes lightly damaged boot toe.Anyone wanting to use these spikes with new bootsand keep them in good condition will have to apply tape as shown in photograph.

They work perfectly for me! They grip well and really kept me sturdy on those icy hikes up and down the mountain. Great quality, still holding up perfectly after over a year, love the storage bag and highly recommend!
